Overview

Scope:

Web information utilization has become a critical emerging research area due to the exponential increase in the information circulation and dissemination over the Web. Many challenging problems must be addressed towards utilizing and exploiting the vast Web information, which is highly heterogeneous and dynamic. This workshop focuses on the technology for analyzing, integrating and retrieving information on the Web. The primary aim of this workshop is to discuss and exchange ideas on utilizing heterogeneous Web information, towards

New research ideas or practices in the above areas are of crucial importance due to the difficulties raised by the diversity of Web data structure and representation, information distribution, communication and accessing costs. Overall, this workshop aims to host work in some of the most breaking topics, such as Web data accessing, Web querying, Web services, Web user personalization, clustering over Web graphs structures, Web metrics and performance issues, Web data prefetching and caching. Moreover, it aims to be of interest to both academics and industrial representatives due to the importance of Web information retrieval and integration.
